Stop being a weasel. If you made a mistake, just say, yeah that was me. People might get pissed with you but they know they can trust you to be forthright with them

If something went wrong and it was your mistake, never blame others.

Take the blame. Own it.

Accept total responsibility for that mistake.

If you accept that mistake, you can do something about it.
