It’s not sexy I know that, but who am I to argue with them. They work. Damn it, they always work! Routines are an excellent way of not going insane.
There are going to be good days, bad days, and days you don’t feel like doing anything. Sometimes these days will start to pile up and you begin to feel like a worthless piece of shit.
To avoid the above-mentioned situation and all the emotions that come with it, I recommend creating what we professionals call a routine.
Routine will get you through the day and make you feel like you made the most out of your day.
When you are not sure what you should be doing, the routine tells you.
When you don’t have much time, the routine guides you to make the most out of the precious little time you have.
Like all advice given, it only works if you make a conscious effort to practice it daily.
So start tomorrow morning. Wake up a little earlier and just write down what you want to do for the rest of the day. And try doing them.
Now there is no need to be too hard on yourself. If you can’t finish or start an item on your list. Well, it wasn’t all that important or else you would have done it and guess what; the world didn’t end.
So make a list and try working that list. Eventually, this becomes your routine.
